The human body is such a marvelous creation that even today we still do not fully understand how it works.  Among its stunning features, it includes alert mechanisms that flag when something in our body is not balanced or working properly.  Years ago in 2014, several situations in my life occurred in a short period of time.  The crisis that my home country Venezuela was going through made me rethink my life plan.  That meant going out of the comfort zone of a stable and thriving job as COO of a well-known local beauty company where I was working for many years.  Significant decisions like migrating to another country and venturing to entrepreneurship were spinning in my head.

At the same time, I was about to make a transcendental personal decision: Getting engaged! (YES, getting married is a very important change in life).  My body did not take long to sound the alarms due to the anxiety and stress caused by these situations.   In my case, the alarms consisted of Alopecia Areata (sudden hair loss with circular bald patches) and psoriasis (a skin condition characterized by scales and dry patches).  At that time, I couldn’t figure out what those conditions affecting my appearance were, nor their cause.  I started doing research on my own.  I tried different topical products to treat the symptoms, but I also consulted and looked for help with professionals that ranged from traditional and alternative medicine to spiritual coaches.
